A few simple habits reduce risk and make future swaps smoother.
- Start with a small test swap first. We suggest USDC on Base or another low-fee network so you can confirm your wallet flow before sending larger amounts.
- After your test succeeds, bookmark this site and return only through that saved bookmark. Do not trust lookalike domains or alternative links.
- Keep the official site URL somewhere secure. We protect our side, but you should also keep your trusted bookmark safe and easy to find.
Tips: How to swap successfully
Wallet choice and transaction flow matter more than most users expect.
- Use EOA wallets only, meaning externally owned wallets you control directly. Avoid centralized exchange deposit or withdrawal wallets from Binance, OKX, Kraken, and similar platforms.
- Do not send funds from an exchange wallet and do not send funds to an exchange wallet unless you are prepared for additional compliance checks.
- If you must involve an exchange wallet, keep the transfer below roughly $10,000 in value and expect that KYC or extra review may still happen.
- EOA-to-EOA swaps are the cleanest path. Large swaps such as 1 BTC or up to around $100,000 in value can work, but bigger amounts may take longer to source and send. We suggest keeping individual swaps at or below $50,000 and splitting larger totals into multiple swaps.
- For better privacy, rotate wallet addresses and send similar-sized amounts across multiple swaps instead of reusing the same address and pattern every time.
How long has PLOOP Swap been in operation?
We have been using the liquidity providers and swap engine behind PLOOP Swap since early 2024. PLOOP Swap launched in March 2026. Our clearnet swap sites have been operating since 2023, we passed more than $10,000,000 in crypto swaps in early 2026, and we have not lost any customer funds to date.
Do I need to create an account?
No. PLOOP Swap requires no registration, no email, and no personal information. Just select your currencies, enter a destination address, and swap.
How long does a swap take?
Most swaps complete in 5–30 minutes depending on blockchain confirmation times. For BTC to XRM swaps, the slowest swaps, it can take up to 3hrs depending on network confirmation and how you send the BTC.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees — ever. The rate you see includes all network fees and the service margin. What you see is what you get.
What happens if something goes wrong?
Save your transaction ID. If a swap fails or stalls, contact us at ploopapp@protonmail.com with your transaction ID and we'll help resolve it.
Is KYC required?
PLOOP Swap does not perform KYC verification for standard transactions. Our privacy-first design means your identity stays yours.
